Genesis Pentecostal Holiness Church (Wendell, NC)
The Genesis Pentecostal Holiness Church was envisioned by the North Carolina Pentecostal Holiness Conference in the spring of 1988. Through an innovative program of reaching new church members through telemarketing, Rev. Paul Bradford came to Wendell, North Carolina and began a work which yielded fruit for the Lord. With the theme “Your Place of NEW BEGINNINGS” the first service was held on November 13, 1988 at the East Wake High School lunch room. The people worked, God blessed their efforts, and the church was formally organized on April 30, 1989. The building program began and the church building located on Hankinson Road was dedicated November 23, 1993. Several of the original members are still active in the church today.
On December 6, 1993, Rev. Vernon Potter and his wife Vicky were called by God to the Genesis Church. They continued to seek direction from God as they lead the church until our current Pastor, Rev. Adam Blackmon came on March 25, 2001. With our vision of reaching those who are seeking to start a “NEW BEGINNING” with Christ, we continue to work for the saving of lost souls as well as growing in our own walk with the Lord.
